One Lord · One Faith · One Baptism · Ephesians 4:5
What we believe
One God, revealed in Jesus
We believe in one God: Father, Son and Holy Ghost, distinguishable but indivisible, fully revealed in our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 3:16).
Salvation by grace
Salvation comes by grace through repentance and faith in the finished work of the cross (Ephesians 2:8).
Baptism in Jesus' name
We baptise in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, fulfilling His command (Acts 2:38; Acts 19:1-6).
The Holy Ghost with evidence
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:1-4).
Divine healing
We believe in the healing of the body by divine power, as practised in the early church (Acts 4:30; James 5:14).
The soon coming of Christ
We look for the personal, literal return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His church (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
Statement of faith
- We believe in the plenary-verbal inspiration of Scripture: infallible, divine, the sole and final authority in faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16).
- We believe in the eternal Godhead, one God revealed as Father, Son and Holy Ghost, distinguishable but indivisible (1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1).
- We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26; Isaiah 7:14).
- We believe Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose the third day (Romans 4:25; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
- We believe in His bodily ascension, exaltation, and personal coming again for His church (John 14:2-3).
- We believe in salvation by grace through repentance and faith in the work of Calvary (Ephesians 2:8; Hebrews 9:12-22).
- We believe in the necessity of water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38; Acts 10:47-48).
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:1-4; Acts 10:44-46).
- We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12-14).
- We believe in divine healing of the body (Acts 4:30; 1 Corinthians 12:9; James 5:14).
- We believe in tithes and offerings as the means of financing God's work (Malachi 3:10).
- We believe in the Lord's Supper for believers (1 Corinthians 11:28-32).
- We believe in eternal life for believers and eternal judgment for the unbelieving (John 5:24; Revelation 20:10-15).
- We believe in one true universal church composed of many local churches under the headship of Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18).
- We believe in the five-fold ministry given by our Lord to strengthen the work (Ephesians 4:11).
- We believe government is ordained of God, and we declare our loyalty as Christian citizens (Romans 13).
